SURVEYING & MAPPING, INC.

Serving our Clients Since 1965

Apex Surveying & Mapping, Inc. (ASM) was incorporated in the State of Texas June 25, 1997.  Soon after, on July 1, 1997, ASM purchased Kelley and Associates Land Surveyors, Inc.  Although it may seem that ASM is a relatively new firm, the contrary is true.

ASM was formed and incorporated by then current employees of Kelley and Associates in order to facilitate the buyout and subsequent retirement of Raymond Kelley, who had owned and operated Kelley and Associates since forming the company in 1965.  The former employees comprising ASM had worked and learned the profession under the guidance of Ray Kelley and at the time of purchase in July of 1997, ASM employees had a combined total experience of 59 years.

ASM continues to provide the quality and service which began in 1965 with Raymond Kelley and Kelley and Associates.  With office's located in Amarillo and Canadian, Texas, ASM provides Professional Land Surveying Services for not only the Texas Panhandle area, but the entire State of Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.

Providing both field and office personnel which are dedicated to the profession and maintaining current equipment and employees well versed in changing technology is the main goal of ASM.  ASM equips its field crews with the latest technological innovations in the profession, up to and including the use of Global Positioning Technology.  ASM provides the necessary training and education to ensure that all field personnel are well versed in the project at hand and able to perform each project with the utmost professionalism, accuracy, efficiency, and quality.  ASM's office staff are equally equipped with the latest computer technology and software, enabling ASM to produce the highest quality final product or survey plat.  The ability to stay current with changing technology allows ASM to provide high quality CAD generated drawings and plats to the client.

Although the advancement of technology in the Surveying Profession is at an all time high, and is producing a new excitement throughout the industry, we at ASM believe that technology should not entirely replace the tried and true methods of Land Surveying.  The old saying "You can't tell where you are going, without first realizing where you have been", was never more true than at this particular juncture in the surveying profession.  Land Surveying is not only an ancient profession but also an art form and one must understand the past methods and reasons behind those methods of Surveying in order to apply the past to the present and future, and deliver a product to the client that is complete, accurate, professional, and is representative of the past, present, and future.
